Call for posters

Posters maybe submitted by researchers and patients

Deadline for submission: March 1, 2017

 
Rules for submission to the 8th END
 
All communications must be submitted according to the following indications:
  • Abstracts must be original and must not be or have been published or presented at any other meeting prior to the Congress. Only Narcolepsy and other central hypersomnia originals will be accepted.
  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. Clinical cases are accepted.
  • The Local Organising and the Scientific Committee will review abstracts to make the selection. A maximum of 30 works will be accepted: 15 from patients and 15 from researchers.
  • Following the information regarding acceptance, scheduling information will be sent to the abstract submitter.
  • Upon submission, the corresponding author confirms that the abstract has been previewed and that all information is correct, and accepts that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission.
  • Submission of the abstract constitutes the authors' consent to publication.
  • Accepted communications will be presented and defended in Poster format during the development of the END.
  • For its acceptance it is essential that at least one of the authors appear as registered to the Congress. 
  • All notifications will be made via web / email so it will be essential to clearly indicate an email address.
  • Upon submission the Abstract author confirms that the contact details saved in the system are those of the corresponding author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The corresponding author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract.
  • The Organisers reserve the right to remove from any publication an abstract that does not comply with the above. The result of the evaluation of the Communications will be unappealable.
 
Guidelines for Submission
 
Abstracts Title: concise, maximum 25 words  
Authors: Full first and family name(s)
Affiliation details: department, institution / hospital, city, state (if relevant), country
Abstract text - limited to 250 words 
Abstract layout - Abstracts should use the following structured format:
 
                            • Introduction
                            • Objectives
                            • Methods
                            • Results
                            • Conclusions
                            • Bibliography: APA standards
 
    Avoid mentioning trademarks. 
    A Conflict Interest Statement is mandatory

Presentation / Exhibition of Posters
 
➢ The format of the poster will be 110 cm. High x 90 cm wide
➢ The title letters will not be less than 20 mm. Of height and 10 mm of the text in order to facilitate its correct reading
➢ The Title of the poster should match the title of the abstract.
➢ The Organization of the Congress will facilitate the systems of fixing the posters
➢ The posters must be placed and removed at the scheduled times
➢ At the time of presentation author must be present.
 
Certificates and Awards
 
➢ Certificates will be sent by email after the end of the Congress.
➢ A certificate will be given to each author of the poster.
➢ The Organizing and Scientific Committee will select two award-winning works, one of the patient associations and another one of investigation, being made known the ruling during the closing ceremony, where the authors present a summary communication of their work.
➢ The financial award is 300 euros for each of the award-winning posters
